Power Mash

President Barack Obama has demanded that the leaders of Afghanistan and Pakistan intensify their campaigns against the Taliban. What sets her apart is her disregard - in some cases, her open contempt - for the dictates of fashion.Whereas common sense says a designer should design what she likes, Prada will choose a color (such as turquoise) that she despises, because of the rush it gives her when she can make something beautiful with it. She told her record company she wanted her own label. And she got it. The Obama administration sought to build collaboration between neighbours who have a history of suspicion and mistrust, and to convince them of Washington's sincere interest in their plights. Just by mentioning a product - be it a beer or a book - on a TV show, can have a massive impact on its sales. But one thing Prada the woman is unafraid of is a good fight, and has ordered 17,000 more US troops. And more often than not, she wins.
Madonna was willing to do whatever she had to do to become a star. Driven, utterly ambitious and fearless - these are the qualities Madonna used to become a celebrity.
Some of the people close to her held frank discussions: they felt she used them on her way to the top. And herself is curious, independent and thoughtful. But I found a limit to Madonna's power. She exists because of her fans.

He was the virtual inventor of underwater explosives, having spent most of his life underwater. He pioneered the process of freedom, peace, and helped to develop the world‘s first aqualung diving apparartus. “For my part” he wrote, “I wish all documentary television makers could be sent to hell…to film scenes for their exhibition and use.”
